Hello World Prep Work

Throughout December and January my exhibition needed various bits of data available, both for myself for printing out pictures and text and also for the Art Cafe organiser, Andrew, to put on flyers and e-mails. I believe in showing people my work as it progresses rather than as an instantaneous piece of work, frozen it time - particularly since clay is a very temporal material, as you work through time the material changes it's nature. I thought I'd follow this through with all the stuff I put up on the site vefore the exhibition.
The fools, the fools. Some guys have given me some exhibition space. Well, thankyou very much. I'm actually at a little bit of a loss to explain this. I recieved an e-mail from pride on tyne, with whom I get a newsletter from, offering spaces for gay, lesbian, bi-sexual artist to exhibit at two cafe exhibition venues in Newcastle. Needless to say I jumped at the opportunity.
It feels a bit weird since my sculptures are not specifically targeting LGB issues, but the idea of giving an exhibition for the scene (since I'm guessing they'll be the ones most likely to see it), as a kind of "You're fantastic, here have some stuff" really appeals to me. I spent a fair bit of my youth on the scene in Newcastle and it's a good place, full of good people, if a little trashy :). The exhibition runs from 15th February til 6th April (I think) on Wednesday Evenings 5 til 9.

As for how things are going? Not too bad, it's been a bit of a nightmare. The exhibition has four bits. One bits, the knots was far too close to the limits of the material, only 1 piece survived firing completely imtact. One of the other large pieces split terribly and needed to be remade. But things have progressed on and are now at the point where I have time to update my webpage.
Currently on this page you'll get links to my prep work, plus a few photographs. Most of the stuff here is the infomation I need to do the exhibition, but feel free to get and idea of what I'm up to. They'll get completed as I go on. (I hope).
Here's my biog piece for the literature.
Here's
a draft for the "Hello World"
piece
(Which will be printed A3 and put up at the exhibition).
Here's a piece I've written as a general copy piece.
Here are the labels for the four bits.
