“Honesty” was one of my first pieces created within the theme of Circles Within. The first three vesrions have now all been sold. Recently I decided to return to the form as I considered there more to explore. I have retained the form and explored surface decoration and a means to add more to it's feel and have subsequently renamed the five new pieces "Deep Honesty". In Heaton Park in Newcastle lie several large chunks of stone these were where I got the inspiration for the designs, when looked at objectively the stones are merely old victorian junk, however much tripping in the park has evoked a magical history in them. They seem much older, relics from the Celtic Age The new surface decoration mimics the vibe from there. It is made from buff clay fired to 1080°c, and left glaze-less.

The dimensions of the pieces are about 20cm x 10cm x 20cm
